Education is more than the transfer of knowledge – it is an investment in a country’s future. With that belief, Kuldipsingh was approached by Stichting M.A.T.O. with a special request: support for the construction of a greenhouse for students of the Surinamese Pedagogical Institute (S.P.I.).
The greenhouse serves one clear purpose: not only to provide students with theoretical knowledge, but also to allow them to learn through hands-on experience. Inside the greenhouse, students will learn to cultivate plants using the hydroponic system. This method enables them to produce, sell, and maintain crops. In doing so, a continuous flow of learning and income is created, helping to fund future school projects.
Officially opened on October 6th, 2025, the greenhouse offers students not only knowledge, but also self-reliance and perspective.
When the request reached Kuldipsingh, we decided to explore the project’s objectives and execution in depth. Kuldipsingh saw in this greenhouse not merely a structure, but above all an investment in human potential.
“We believe it is important that our support goes beyond simply providing materials.”
“When an initiative combines the power of education, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, we are glad to contribute. Knowledge is the strongest foundation there is.”
With this mindset, Kuldipsingh strengthens its social role as a construction partner in educational development. The company believes that true progress begins by providing young people with opportunities to learn, create, and grow.
What began as an initiative by a former student has evolved into an example of how sustainability, education, and social responsibility reinforce one another. The leadership, teachers, and students of S.P.I. have embraced the project with great enthusiasm.
Together, we are building a future in which education, sustainability, and engagement form the pillars of a stronger, more resilient Suriname.
