To strengthen our Infra team, we are searching for an experienced:
HR Officer
As an HR Officer, you will be responsible for supporting management in implementing HRM policies and ensuring the smooth and accurate execution of the daily HR cycle. You will oversee HR administration and guide HR processes across the full spectrum. For employee inflow, progression, and outflow, you will coordinate processes such as recruitment and absenteeism management, acting as the main point of contact for managers and employees. You are results-driven, collaborative, and possess the determination to remain unfazed by challenges. Your role requires a proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to facilitate effective communication between staff and management.
The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for, among other tasks:
- Ensuring an effective and efficient HR administration process
- Supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures
- Coordinating and facilitating operational activities such as performance and appraisal interviews
- Drafting various letters, job vacancies, job descriptions, and other written communications
- Managing the onboarding, internal transfer, and offboarding processes for staff
- Serving as a primary point of contact for employees
- Maintaining and processing payroll administration.
The ideal candidate possesses:
- A completed Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management (HRM) or a related field.
- Knowledge and experience in labor law procedures in accordance with Surinamese labor legislation.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a comparable position.
