On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, several Kuldipsingh sister companies at the Het Vertrouwen industrial site welcomed first-year Architecture and Civil Engineering students from the Anton de Kom University of Suriname (AdeKUS).
During this company visit, the students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of business operations within Kuldipsingh. From foundation construction and asphalt production to precast concrete, modern steel products, and heavy construction equipment, the students gained firsthand insight into how theoretical knowledge is applied in practice.
Kuldipsingh Infra
The excursion began at Kuldipsingh Infra, where the students were first introduced to the in-house construction team. They then visited the foundation works for Infra’s second warehouse, which is currently under construction. This provided an opportunity to connect their theoretical knowledge of construction drawings, reinforced concrete, dimensional measurements, and anchor bolt installation with actual construction activities on-site.
The next stop was the asphalt plant located on the premises. As the plant was fully operational at the time, the students were able to observe the production process firsthand. Shaif Hoesseni, Production Manager at Kuldipsingh Infra, explained the various production stages and raw materials required for asphalt manufacturing.
The students also observed ongoing asphalt paving activities, gaining insight into how different machines work together to apply a new layer of asphalt to a road surface.
Kuldipsingh Prefab
The next stop was Kuldipsingh Prefab, where the students were introduced to the concept of prefabrication: the production of structural elements in advance, ready for subsequent installation at construction sites.
During the guided tour, they learned about various production molds, including T-beam molds and pile molds, which enable the efficient production of large quantities of concrete elements.
Particular attention was also given to the company’s on-site concrete batching plant. This facility enables the production of large quantities of prestressed concrete piles within a relatively short period, without relying on external concrete deliveries by mixer trucks. This provides significant advantages in terms of production capacity, scheduling, and logistics.
The students also gained a deeper understanding of prestressed concrete elements and attended a practical demonstration in which two concrete piles were simultaneously loaded onto an extendable trailer using a 32-ton overhead crane.
Kuldipsingh Metals
At Kuldipsingh Metals, the students were introduced to modern manufacturing techniques for light-gauge steel products. One of the highlights was the company’s new, advanced floor decking machine. As the machine was operating during the visit, the students were able to observe the entire production process firsthand.
Robert Kromokardi, Production Manager at Kuldipsingh Metals, explained the use of steel coils, the operation of various roll-forming machines, and the extensive range of steel products manufactured by the company.
The tour concluded at the corrugated sheet production line, where the students observed how corrugated metal sheets are manufactured from steel coils.
Kuldipsingh Equipment
The final stop was Kuldipsingh Equipment. From tractor units and trailers to cranes and sideloaders, the students gained a clear understanding of the essential role that heavy equipment and transportation play in the execution of large-scale projects.
During a practical demonstration, the students observed how the concrete piles previously loaded at Kuldipsingh Prefab could be unloaded at a destination where an overhead crane is unavailable, as is often the case at external construction sites.
The students were then given the opportunity to explore the interiors of various heavy-duty machines. Of course, the visit would not have been complete without a memorable photo opportunity inside the popular ‘Mickey Mouse’ truck!
Supporting Tomorrow’s Technical Professionals
After an educational afternoon filled with valuable practical experiences, the excursion concluded with refreshments and snacks. As a keepsake of their first company visit during their academic journey, the students also received a special gift from Kuldipsingh.
At Kuldipsingh, we place great importance on supporting education and fostering the development of future technical professionals. By providing students with the opportunity to experience production processes, construction methods, and heavy equipment firsthand, we aim to help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
It was therefore a pleasure to welcome this enthusiastic group of students. After all, the future of construction takes shape where knowledge, innovation, and practical experience come together.
