During the MAS Open Days from November 7-9, 2024, Kuldipsingh Port Facility (KPF)
proudly showcased its operations. This year, our stand focused primarily on our
sustainability policy and the concrete initiatives we, as a company, are undertaking to reduce our environmental footprint.
CAt the heart of our presentation was the Zinus shore power unit. This innovative
installation attracted significant interest from visitors and provided us the opportunity to
highlight the advantages of shore power. Shore power enables ships to switch off their
engines while docked and instead use power supplied from our quay. This significantly
reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and air pollution in the port. Our
representatives on site informed visitors about the unit functionality and how it
contributes to a cleaner and more sustainable port environment.
In addition, the demonstration of our Pettibone pipe handler drew much attention.
Visitors were able to see up close how this powerful machine is used to safely and
efficiently move and/or store heavy pipes used in the oil and gas sector within our port
facilities. The demonstration provided an impressive glimpse into the daily operations at
KPF, the company’s investments in machinery, and the skill and technical expertise
involved.
In short, we can look back on a very successful participation in this annual event. Our goal of informing visitors about our operations and sustainability initiatives was well achieved.
We are proud of the result and look forward to further involvement in the
sustainable growth of our sector.
With thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of these days, we can
confidently look forward to a bright future.
